Mateo C. Matanane is a Registered Architect born and raised on Guam and has more than 15 years of experience in planning, design, construction documentation, building information modeling, and coordination with all engineering disciplines. He has experience working on a variety of projects for the Government of Guam, Federal Government and private sector clients, all in a wide range of project types including commercial, residential and hospitality industries.

Mateo founded Matan Architecture, LLC in September 2022 after gaining much of his experience working with several local architects, a general contractor, and an engineering firm. Majority of his experience has come from working in an architectural firm for nine years. However, brief employments with a general contractor for the construction of a multi-billion dollar jet hangar on Andersen Airforce Base as a project engineer, and then alongside several engineers in an engineering firm, has allowed him to gain a wealth of knowledge of the overall AEC industry. His broad experience has provided him with a diverse perspective and understanding of each discipline to overcome any design, construction, or coordination situation.
